What kind of local hot spot would you like to see added to community and where?

Looking to bring some more kind of action to the area and would like your input. What kind of venue do you think SLO needs? Another beach bar? An amusement park i.e. ice skating, water slides? Any ideas welcome. I'ld like to bring some more adventure to the area. Just one more fun thing to do around here without going to city.

I wish there was a nice indoor batting cage in SLO... I have thought a lot about trying to open one myself.

I must admit, I miss the old Pismo skating rink. It was a staple of my younger years and that the floor is still there keeps reminding me of it

While I'm not near as good on ice skates, I have tried it several times and would definitely give it a go if it was somewhere local.

Another "beach bar"? Nah. I'd rather participate in some local nature hikes with the opportunity to take photographs - places that the Average Joe doesn't know about or have access to.

I'd love to see a Jazz joint in SLO. A funky place to see jazz trios or quartets and hang out.

me three! anything with live music that doesn't turn into a Poly student meat market would be awesome. :)

CLUB OOOH! The smoothest place to hear live jazz musicians do their jazzy thing. Each composition a minimum of 6 minutes, so you can have that bite to eat and the glass of wine/mug of beer and ask for seconds before the song ends. Yea, Club Oooh! Coming soon to a SLO near you!

I LIKE IT! Club OOOH (not "oh")!

Bring your significant other down to the coolest cats in SLO town. Trios or quartets, no words if any, better yet.

And Hudey, at some point those young'ns are going to age...hit or pass the age of
21...and join their hottette g/f's, and you of course, at the new place (that you didn't want to be a Poly meat market). Sounds like a bummer...but again, how does one create a biz in SLO that doesn't at some point attract patrons of the meat market kind?

Then again, are Poly kids into jazz music? Since it wouldn't be hip hop, reggae, or "DUH" music, wouldn't that alone keep them away? I say YAY!

Have you been to SLO Down Pub in AG? They have a wide variety of music, from Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and Reggae. They have had a Jazz group from S.M area that was killer (horns and such). They have a web page, check it out
http://www.slodownpub.com/
In case you are wondering, I don't own or work in the place.
