Has anyone else watched any foreign TV series? The ones I have seen recently are Doc Martin and Foyle's War, both from Great Britain. Sea Patrol is made in Australia.

Doc Martin is about a surgeon who has developed a phobia for blood and has taken over as a physician in a small sea port town of Port Wren. It is someone comical, serious and frustrating.

Foyle's War, which we are now watching on DVD from Netflicks, deals with Chief Inspector Foyle during WWII. He investigates crimes, namely murders, in England during the war. Something I will have to research further, in the first episode it said the Germans living in England in '39 were rounded up and interned in various camps through out the country.

Sea Patrol is good, but sometimes a little hookey. It's based on a crew on board the HMAS Hemmersley and then run into various crisis. The nice thing about this show is it isn't always finished in one hour, like CSI  that gets DNA returned instantaneously.

So I am wondering, is there more out there? It's pretty interesting to see what others are watching. I've tried watching Japanese crime shows, but sometimes get lost because I don't understand the dialog.

One of my favorite shows on TV is "Top Gear" on BBC America. It's a show about cars, but done in a quirky, humorous way. The show is hosted by three guys: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, and also a test driver known as "The Stig". Each episode generally features some exotic cars, a celebrity doing a race in a "reasonably priced car", some type of outrageous challenge, and lots of humor! Great show, and very fun and entertaining!
