Saw Seals and Croft in concert, met them backstage. Croft had the KNARLIEST nail's I've ever seen! Been 30 years and I* still remember those hooks!

Its nice when I hear a song that reflects a feeling I have or have had. Its quite validating and comforting to know I'm not the only one who feels or has felt that way. Its why I love music.

Here's an emotion that I feel like sharing: It makes me sad when I send a message to someone on CCT ... and they don't reply me me. I take it personally ... it hurts my feelings.

Am I being overly sensitive?

Have others experienced this too?

Doesn't hurt my feelings (anymore). At first I didn't get it, and did wonder about it. Now I realize that not everyone interprets a message, whether here on CCT, or email, or text, as a request for an immediate reply. I really think that it's simply a matter of each individual's take on such a message. Many see them as just an update as to your status.

So, if I really need instant feedback, I get out from behind the monitor and go see the person, or use the telephone. Don't let it get to you. If you expect a response from one of those electronic modes of communication, be explicit about that, or go to voice or face!

Sometimes.... at movies... or song Lyrics... or acts of kindness!
They are tears of JOY. Of course that could be part of my PTSS.

Generalisations are generaly wrong. Spliting emotion up by gender does not work.
Just because some people do not show emotion the way others do. Does not mean it is hard for them to show emotion. Some things effect some people more than they effect others.
When the inocent are injured. I feel sadness. I just don't make a big show of it. When a young child learns a task. And looks to me for approval. That is a time to make a show of approval.
Who is to say how much we should show?? Or when and to who emotion should be shown??
