Deepak Chopra recently commented on Michael Jackson's death as evidently they were good friends. Chopra ran through Jackson's disorders, dysfunctional childhood, pressures of celebrity, addictions to prescription drugs and reconstructive surgery, struggles with depression, he had lupus (an autoimmune disease) etc. and who knows what else, then at the end Chopra said Michael Jackson was just too sensitive to endure the pressures of this world. This reminded me of the line in the Don McClean song "Vincent", "this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you". Van Gogh went insane.
We have all known people for whom "coping" is a 24/7 struggle and just seem unable to "process" anger, fear, dispair etc.... I firmly believe that negative emotions become manifest in the wide variety of illnesses, addictions, "isms" and disorders that exist today.
We all feel far more than we ever express and I just wonder how many people suffer for simply having the misfortune of being too sensitive.
