Gerald - Since I seem to be the last post from last year, I will respond. I live in LO but would be willing to talk with you about common walking goals/general interests to see if we would like to meet during the week for a walk. I walk with a CCT friend who lives in AG an average once a week. You can reach me at 805-534-9672.

Anyone around here any more? It looks like it has been a year since anyone has posted here. I would like to get some walking going, so let me know if you are interested in some walks around SLO. I live near Laurel Lane and would like a walking partner or someone that wants to sweat to the oldies with Richard Simmons. Let's get something going to trim down a bit.

I have moved to Los Osos from Mendocino and am in transit while I wait to move into a house. My goal is to be a full time dad again and to develop better eating and activity habits. Since I am a professional chef, I have the food part down ( at least when I do the "right thing" with food ) but am interested in developing walking partners and perhaps gym friends. I am considering joining FitnessWorks in Los Osos. Anyone a member with comments? Have also interviewed a couple of personal trainers there since I think going this route might be the way to get going in a manner that will reinforce work out habits that will stay with me. My ultimate goal is to establish a lifestyle that will allow me to feel 26 instead of 56 both mentally and physically. I want to be someone that at 76 is healthy and able to do things without being restricted by body.

Looking for somoene to walk in SLO with, getting out of home. I'm near Laurel Lane and would walk the path along the tracks to downtown and back. This would be good a few days a week, even with different people. My schedule is odd so we will have to plan.

Kathleen: I would highly recommend Kay Heaton, a Watsu practitioner! She cured my "sciatica" when I was pregnant with only one treatment; the doctor said all I could do was take pain meds... it feels great and her prices are very reasonable:
