About Me:

I enjoy broadening my horizons by meeting new people with diverse backgrounds. I love bringing friends together, whether for a bit of networking, an afternoon of wine tasting, a happy hour, or just a good old game night (which will bring out a competitiveness that surprises even myself).

I've lived abroad and am passionate about travel and discovering the wonders of the world. Since I find historical sites fascinating, some of my favorite destinations visited thus far include Egypt, India, Morocco, Greece, and Turkey.

There is plenty of local exploration to be done right here on our own Central Coast. Part of my business concerns showcasing the best of what our beautiful area has to offer. My business also takes me into the realms of HR, marketing, and business development.

I love jazz, alternative, classical, a little opera, and old standards. Favorite artists are Dave Matthews, Hootie & the Blowfish, Counting Crows, Antje Duvekot, Amos Lee, Adele, Nina Simone, Diana Krall, Tristan Prettyman, Eliane Elias, Frank Sinatra, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Brett Dennen, Michael Franti, Ray Charles, Norah Jones, Damien Rice, Bebel, Joao, Maria Callas (La Mamma Morta),...

Favorite Movies / TV Shows:

I don't have TV, but sometimes will rent a whole season of something - most recently The Tudors (the costumes are incredible), Rome, Deadwood, Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, or CSI.

I watch lots of movies, and tend to be drawn to a good thriller or period drama, Some favorites have been: The Bourne Trilogy, The Kite Runner, Michael Franti's I Know I'm Not Alone, Something's Gotta Give, The Upside of Anger...When I'm in the mood for a chick flick, it's 2 Weeks Notice or How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Favorite Books:

I love to read, but don't read for pleasure as much as I used to. I'm currently reading Paula, by Isabel Allende, and just finished Jeffrey Gitomer's Customer Satisfaction is Worthless, Customer Loyalty is Everything. I've liked everything I've read of Gitomer's. A few of my all time favorite books are: Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs, and Steel (everything he writes is so incredibly interesting), Rebecca, Pillars of the Earth, Gone With the Wind, and anything by John Grisham.
