Kim Patrick Noyes replied to Mary Sholl's discussion WHICH CENTRAL COAST CHOIRS ARE THE BEST?
"So you are not referring to the spiritual/transcendent aspect of the choir and what it is supposed to be doing exclusively refer only to the aural aspect of a choir, no? In that case, if it is a black choir then you are assured multiple eargasms but…"

Profile Information

About Me:
I'm here to meet local folks with whom I share any commonality and to promote my blog as well as promote the activities of three local rockhounding clubs to which I'm a member as well as to promote my own business interests as well as keep citizens of the Central Coast informed of important events and information.
Occupation:
Starving Student, General LaborerDealer/Sellor of Gems, Minerals, Fossils, and Artifacts
My Hobbies & Interests:
I am a polymath with many varied interests ranging from history to current events to reading books and writing my blog as well as hiking and beachcombing not to mention rockhounding and selling on my Ebay store K&K Earthwerks.
My Website:
http://eclecticarcania.blogspot.com/
Favorite Music:
I love just about all genres of American/European music but Rap/Hip-Hop which is often not music. My current musical obsession is electronica/ambient/trance music as has been the case for the past decade.
Favorite Movies / TV Shows:
Too many movies to mention here but I particularly like science fiction (like the Alien quadrilogy) and fantasy (like Lord of the Rings) as well as historical or period movies (like the recent remake of True Grit) not to mention any intelligent comedy (like Elf). I generally like movies by Tarentino and Fincher and Nolan. Too many TV shows to mention here, too, but not so much the modern ones which suck as the quality of TV programming has declined over time. Current TV shows I like include House and Big Bang Theory a hand-full of the reality shows that don't happen to suck.
Favorite Books:
Too many to mention here but I generally like non-fiction. Currently, I'm reading The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt & The Fire That Saved America.

I'm Offering a Room For Rent To a Decent Roommate

Unfurnished room for rent in a quiet, spacious home with lots of windows and a front and back porch on a tree-studded 2.5 acre lot in Southwest Atascadero, to a single, non-smoking adult.

The house is on a quiet street that is great for walking or bicycling with a country feel but has quick and easy access to US101 as well as to two different car pool parking lots with bike bins nearby.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is only about 15 minutes away so this makes an ideal environment for a Cal Poly University student.

Your room has hardwood floors and four windows (and thus is light and airy) plus a ceiling fan and has cable television, telephone jacks, and high speed DSL internet jacks as well as a strong internet wi-fi signal.

The room also sports a large walk-in closet with plenty of shelves.

You will share a bathroom with one other roommate as well as have full acess to the rest of the house, which includes a kitchen, washroom (nice washer and dryer), den, living room, and office.

You will also have some space to store some things in a small storage shed in back and there is plenty of parking out in front of the property.

Your rent will be $500 per month plus utilities split three ways, which amounts to about $150 per month for a grand total of about $650 per month which seasonally fluctuates throughout the year depending upon utility use (contingent upon the weather of course).

There is a cat and dog that live in the house but they are clean, quiet, and well-behaved.

If you are interested feel free to contact me and make arrangements to drop by and check the place out.

Hi Kim!
Look what I just saw posted on Freecycle (a Yahoo group) this morning: "40 yr old lapidary saw. Rock Rascal. Used to cut rocks. We have used it to cut tile. Will also include a tile scorer if wanted." Posted by Carol.
I don't have room for it in my garage, but maybe you know someone... it may already be promised to someone, but it's worth a try!

Let me be the first to welcome you to CCT, Kim! I'm hoping you'll post some cool gem pictures on your page, and maybe start some new Communities and Discussions related to rockhounding... I'm sure lots of other CCT members would love to join in on fossil-hunting or jade-gathering field trips!
