I am also a wife, mother, writer, and breastfeeding advocate.

I spent many years pursuing a career in showbiz and have a lot of really great memories and experiences of that time, including several notable pageant titles. I also have thirteen years experience in cosmetology, although now, I much prefer getting services DONE to me, rather than performing them myself!

Another reason why I LOVE this place!

Last night, I gave a talk at Central Coast Yoga about the benefits of HypnoBirthing®.

It was a small but attentive crowd, and virtually EVERYONE who attended was a CCT member!

I could NOT believe the support I got from these amazing people! It is safe to say that without CCT, my presentation would not have been the success that it was!

Lack of options for expectant mothers of the central coast?

I originally posted this as a discussion in the Breastfeeding Awareness Team community.

After having been here nearly 8 months, I am still in shock about the lack of options for expectant moms in central coast.

I have come to learn that there are a couple of hospitals, and one or two home-birth midwives in the area as far as birthing options, and THAT IS IT.

Doula training, Hollywood style!

What a frikkin' fantabulous weekend I had, taking my Post-Partum Doula training from the AMAZING Kathleen Sullivan!

Kathleen puts the "DO" in DOULA--that woman just never stops. Ever.
