Reiki is a great way to relieve stress and relaxation. Is any one interested in finding out about Reiki? Or would you like to tell us about your personal experiences? I would like to form a meet-up group together. Interested?

It's July already?

Well, I haven't keeping up with my 'cancer status' post. A lot has been going on.

The day after the 6th chemo treatment on June 1st, I saw my surgeon, Dr. Rocco. She looked at the most recent sonogram, and told me it would take more than a 'lumpectomy' to cut out what was left - I needed a 'mastectomy', and would probably lose the nipple. I still had a 3 1/2 cm area of calcification, with a line of it extending down a duct to my nipple.

I was confused. The tumor itself was go… Continue

TO HELP TREAT 'ESTROGEN-SENSITIVE' CANCER, OR TO REDUCE RISK

There are two articles here. My Breast Cancer was classified as 'Estrogen Sensitive', 'NOT Progesterone Sensitive', and 'NOT Her2 Sensitive'. I find it really disturbing that NONE of my doctors asked me if I'd taken Hormone Replacement Therapy, or mentioned anything about 'reducing estrogen' or 'increasing progesterone', or even using any of the current drugs that either block estrogen production or block cancer cells from using estrogen!!!!!

TO HELP TREAT 'ESTRO

3rd and 4th Chemo

Well, I pretty-much covered all the 'side-effects' I've had, and I can't think of any new ones. I've had pretty-much the same effects with each treatment, although some increased, and some decreased in intensity. The first week after treatment, I seem to be weaker each time. That's possibly partly because I haven't been keeping 'strictly' to my diet goals (like I started drinking more coffee and less tea and carrot juice...). But the 'rash' on my hands (and under my breasts) has gotten less seve… Continue

Second Chemo Treatment

Well, I did have a mentionable side-effect from the chemo, namely a rash and peeling skin (like sunburn) on the backs of my hands. For this, they recommended Benedryl, which worked to get rid of the itchy rash, but the peeling continued. The best thing I've found for this is applying Vitamin E oil (from capsules) several times a day. I think, though, that it just has to 'run it's course'. I had a follow-up visit with my Oncologist yesterday, before the chemo treatment. When I showed him my ha

DIET NOTES

Here are the major things I have learned about DIET to prevent/combat cancer:

The main ideas are to put NO MORE toxins in your body, and to eat only nutritious, healing foods

- Cancer cells GROW on sugar, So avoid sugar, especially processed sugar. However, this does not seem to include 'natural' sugar, as in fruit

- OXYGEN KILLS cancer cells (they are 'anaerobic'). Find

I did the same thing. I first cut my hair short, but it was falling out in droves. Went to the hairdresser and had her shave it off. I can't lie, it was traumatic!

I went through the hat and wig stage also. I ditched the wig after a couple of times, too hot and uncomfortable. I think if I ever need chemo again I will get up the nerve to go 'commando'!!
