To be Aware or not to be aware, that is the question

We were all shocked about the recent discovery of Jaycee Dugard and her abductor Phillip Garrido, and it just seems that there were so many opportunities for this man to get caught. Not only did a parole officer visit him often, neigbors called authorities out to his home to investigate his backyard.
