I'll have to give Corner View another try based on that! I took my mom there for brunch a couple years ago when she was here visiting and was kind of underwhelmed. Service was decent but the food was just so-so and not very inspired. Maybe an off da…

I've dined at Corner View in SLO several times and have never been disappointed. I try the Calamari appetizer everywhere I go and I think theirs is the best, near or far. I had the four course tasting menu the other night for $30 and it was an aweso…

Profile Information

About Me:
I am relocating to the area after a year in Mendocino to be closer to my daughter. I am a chef but plan to take some time to focus on being a dad, establishing some new healthy habits, making friends, and finding a path for this adventure in life. I love the outdoors and water. Would like to explore getting a kayak. I enjoy the movies and have gotten back into reading. Just returned from a month traveling in New Zealand and Australia. Have visited 15 countries and 19 states.
Occupation:
chef
My Hobbies & Interests:
Traveling, walking, being in the mountains next to running water, cinema, games ( cribbage and cards ), really good espresso, cooking. Sharing food/wine with friends.
Favorite Music:
Jazz, the 60's to the present. Will basically listen to anything other than rap. It's not my generation.
Favorite Movies / TV Shows:
Too numerous to name. I made a list once of every movie I had seen two times or more and it exceeded 100. Love School of Rock, In the Heat of the Night, and Casablanca.

How about Six Feet Under and Northern Exposure?
Favorite Books:
In my 20's, I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy three times. Went camping and spent a day in the rain in a tent with two friends reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas out loud.

Hi David - great pics of Australia! Where were those statues? We will be touring in some areas of their native tribes, so I'm assuming that's who made those. Can't wait to see them in person!

Hello David! It was great to meet you last Saturday night at the SLO BLUES Game. I didn't really have an opportunity to chat with you, but look forward to more opportunities in the future.
A Vietnamese Restaurant would be great! or Phillipine... or... any ethnic food we do not already have available!
Enjoyed your pics!
