I'm putting together a Breast Cancer Awareness Fund-Raiser Concert at SLO Down Pub on Sat, April 10th. We will have a lineup of many great musicians and bands, each doing 1-3 songs.
Some of the proceeds will benefit the Cancer Retreat scheduled to open soon 'next ranch' to me here in Nipomo. It's called HUGS - Healing Us Garden Sanctuary.
Screaming Jimmy Townsend (I LOVE him!) gave up his scheduled date that he was going to do a Beatles Fest for this Fund-Raiser! And he will be Co-Hosting the event. He has been doing shows like this at SDP for a while, and always rocks the place!
I'd like to know if you'd be interested in singing a couple or 3 songs for us at this event. Please email me at Stephendipity@yahoo.com, and let me know if you're available. Thanks!
BTW, we have a website for musicians, etc. - www.MusicMakersAndFriends.com. There's not a lot of activity there, but I still post gigs and events there, and I know people are looking. With your permission, I'd like set you up with a UserID, and post your gigs there. (Once you have a UserID, you can add profile info and music uploads, and post your own Performances and Events.) I also, from time to time, set up Showcases and post them on MMaF. I'd love to get you in the lineup for the next one! K?
Thanks for the encouragement and advice, Valerie! But don't be sorry! I consider this a step UPWARD in my life journey. It is increasing my awareness in many areas, connecting me with other souls (which I believe is a key part of the reason for my existence), and giving me the tools to improve my own health and that of the people around me!
My main challenge, causing the most stress in my life right now, is financial. I have been unemployed now for 9 months, and my man for 7 months. Can't find anything that pays more than Unemployment, and my 'passions' do not support me (or haven't yet). I never learned to play the 'money game' to begin with, and now the whole playing field is changing. But I believe in 'Serendipity'. When I find a way to focus on the right things, my 'means of support' will appear. May 'The Flow' be with you!
Thanks :-) the skunk is 3 now ... gosh how time flies. When I lived in New Jersey, I had a good friend that I went to lots of jazz shows with. I'll have to keep on top of when you are performing and come see you :-)
